Hotel Balkan - Gabrovo

I recently had the opportunity to stay at a hotel in Gabrovo for a business trip, and overall, my experience was quite positive. the hotel's location was very convenient, being close to both the city center and the technical university. This made it easy for me to explore the area during my free time. Secondly, I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. They were able to communicate with me in both English and German, which made the check-in process smooth. Lastly, the rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail, like the availability of basic amenities and the option to book rooms with a balcony.

There were minor improvements that could be made, but overall, my stay at this hotel was satisfactory.

The hotel is located in the city centre and within a 5-minute walk to the famous restaurant Rest. The terrace offers a nice view and the breakfast, while not as diverse as expected, is still good. The staff is welcoming and helpful.

the room was clean and tidy, while the bathroom facilities were elevantly maintained. Service was friendly, even a lost charger was quickly returned by the well-devoted cleaner. the breakfast was quite satisfying and included pancakes made to order.

The very small elevator did not work with more than one person.

Great central location in the heart of the city. A nostalgic experience, giving a glimpse into the past of hotel design. The famous restaurant Rest is just a short walk away. Friendly and helpful breakfast staff. Delicious breakfast options, especially for kids. Convenient location for shopping and dining. Tranquil and clean surroundings with a nice terrace and view. Welcoming and accommodating staff, who fulfilled special requests. Nice selection of breakfast foods. Quiet and comfortable rooms. Water provided for guests who do not drink tea or coffee. Good experience overall during a two-night stay with my loved one.

The hotel was located very close to the city center, which was very convenient. the staff at the front desk spoke English and tried to be helpful, but that's about the only good feature of this hotel. the room I stayed in was quite spacious and had a comfortable bed, which was good.

the room was not clean and there were spiderwebs and ants everywhere, including in the bed.
